Racial Profiling Must Stop

What you and your family suffered is shameful and atrocious. As a fellow Canadian I am ashamed that our country and government was pulled into this panic-stricken and thoughtless treatment of Muslim and Arabic people. People are responsible for their own actions, not for the actions of a few that may look somewhat like them.

We are all human beings and should be treated with respect and decency. I am so sorry for the pain that you and your family and others have and are experiencing.

A public inquiry must discover how the atrocity of your detention and torture was allowed to occur.

It is so important that we maintain constant vigilance against the spector of fear and panic and retain our hearts and minds so we stop this horror occurring to countless others.

Thank you for your courage and strength in continuing to pursue your rights and the truth.
