The Public Inquiry: Justice & Accountability
Never doubt that you can make a difference.
Canadians from coast to coast raised their voices with a simple and clear request for justice. It worked. There will be a public inquiry. This major accomplishment has filled us with hope.
But amid the celebration, much remains to be done.
It is essential that the long-awaited public inquiry actually achieves what we have waited so long for.
The scope and structure of the public inquiry are as important as the potential witness list and evidence. In fact, these are crucial factors in determining whether Maher will be able to accomplish his goals of clearing his name and ensuring this will never happen again.
Here's how you can help keep the path clear:
- Call on Anne McLellan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, to develop effective terms of reference for the public inquiry.
Send your message online. You can also send your messages by fax, email or post to:

While staff and volunteers from supportive organizations have been generous with their time, and our legal counsel have been doing the work for free, there are logistical expenses such as travel, translation and basic office supplies & administrative costs which we cannot cover without additional contributions.
